Saneyjun

August is here, kind of crazy that Dhon has been in Nebraska for over half of the year. Oregon was definitely home to us to what seemed like forever. We love all the new opportunities here in the Midwest. I could do without the humid summer weather but it makes you tough and it reminds me of the hot summer football and wrestling workouts back in my day. Nostalgic. I’ve been back in Oregon and in Montana a few times since Nebraska and the air is completely different.

I wanted to write a blog post dedicated to my sister Daisy, I recently started calling her by her Lao name Saneyjun. It means elegant moon. It has been awesome to be a bigger brother to her and watch her mature especially with Dhon. Don’t get me wrong she is still a Gen Zer and loves her iPad, but she has also taught me so much. She is adapting to having Dhon at home and is interacting with him so well. Better than most adults we interact with on a daily. So how cool that she gets to learn at a young age. I can already see her heart being transformed by God through Dhon. She keeps all the siblings light on their feet and full of laughter.

I have enjoyed spending time with both of them more recently, I get to cook for her sometimes when my mom is at work, I get to teach her about the pre teen life and show her an older sibling she has been missing most of her life (all the older siblings went away for college or other jobs across the country, she got stuck in Nebraska lol).

Excited to see her continue to grow into the unique human she was created to be!
